Happy 1st Birthday, Zoey!!!
Happy 1st Birthday, Zoey!!!
(Zoey from her smash cake invitation)
I can't believe it's been a whole year, and we are still fascinated with this tiny little girl. She's so sweet and it's been a pleasure getting to watch her grow. Just this month she learned to walk and she's a real chatterbox, even though we don't always know what she's saying :).
As the world settles in for hibernation, from this "thing" that's trying to get us and keep us down, we had to postpone our celebrations (and sorrows) for this month, but look forward eagerly to getting together, hopefully soon, to again live life with gusto.
Zoey is my first granddaughter and she shares a birth month with her auntie Alex (the 17th) and Goo Goo (tomorrow, the 29th) (interestingly, no one calls her Auntie Grace), and she's an Aries like Goo Goo and her Nana (... that would be me).
Just so you know, Aries is the 1st of the zodiac signs, and I think that is one of many firsts for our Ms. Zoey. Here's a little more, in case your interest was piqued:
The name Zoey is a girl's name of Greek origin meaning "life". Zoey is a modern spelling variation of Zoe, the Greek Jewish translation of Eve. ... Two early saints were named Zoe—Saint Zoe of Rome and Saint Zoe of Pamphylia.
And, still speaking of firsts, here's a link (my first ever backlink) to my first ever blog post (about the fam), and it's short, sweet, and all about Miss Zoey:
My first ever blog post (about the fam)!!!
So here comes the fun part, her life in pictures. Please do enjoy, our little Miss Zoey ... and don't judge me if you've seen them before, 'cause I like what I like.

... this one, from playing outside, is just too cute:
and let's not forget, we love pictures with Nana:

I love you, sweet pea!!!
As is my way, I want to post this birthday wish on the date of her birth, on 03/28 at 3:28, and that's exactly what I'll do.
In honor of this beautiful, lil bit, who we are all in awe of, it wouldn't be me, if I didn't write a haiku poem for my sweet grand baby, Zoey:
Shine in God's Glory
Be forever humble
Know we all love you
Love Always,
Your Nana
