The Gardening & Sustainable Living Bundle
How Green is Your Thumb?
The Gardening & Sustainable Living Bundle
Back By Popular Demand!!! Has this year made you feel less secure about your food supply? Do you want to take charge and grow your own food? Or are you, like me, waiting on grocery deliveries that never come?
You might be wondering is gardening hard,
where do I start, and does it cost a lot?
Well, my answers are
"no, start right here and it's highly affordable."
Jump In, The Water's Fine
When you least expect it, sometimes you find answers to questions you didn't know you had. These days, with the world in a tizzy, not much is safe and secure and we all need to do our part to ensure that we do have the means to take care of ourselves and our family.
What better way to start, than to provide as much of our own food as possible. It can be planting on your property or, for small spaces and minimal space users, like me and Freddy, there's a way you can plant using containers. You don't have to have a backyard full of dirt to get things started ... and speaking of dirt ... this is what I'm talking about:
My friends at Ultimate Bundles have packaged all of the resources you'll need to grow your own food, preserve your own food, and improve your soil health, be it right in the ground or potted up nicely.
Now that's what I call gettin' down & dirty.
Did I mention the bonuses?

BONUSES
Bug Block Stick and Lip Balm by MadeOn $15
A 6-ingredient lotion stick that acts as a double-duty lotion AND bug repellent. Mosquitoes do not like the smell of citronella, rosemary or cedarwood, the 3 essential oils that give the bar a natural-smelling scent. Meanwhile, the base of the lotion bar, beeswax, shea butter and coconut oil, are nourishing to your skin while also keeping the bugs away.
8 Mistakes Gardeners Make (and how to fix them) by Angi Schneider $7.00
Angi takes gardeners through all the common questions (including some live from attendees!) in a one hour video presentation, co-hosted by Ultimate Bundles especially for the bundle. Also receive her handy worksheets for planting and preserving - one of the first dilemmas gardeners find themselves in is deciding how much to plant to feed their family. So, let’s tackle that first. Grab a pencil and paper and let’s get planning!
As far back as I can recall, I've always had a green thumb, and my love of plants has never waned. I have a corn plant that's over 6 feet tall and thriving, that's been with me for over 30 years.
I've lived in my apartment now for 7 years and there's a small patch of dirt on our patio, but I've never wanted to plant directly into the soil ... what if we move (which was the intent when we arrived)? I'd have to leave my garden here or find another solution and, I did, and container gardening is exactly what I'd do. Grace (daughter #3) and I went to a gardening workshop a few years back and while it was fun and exciting to share that with her and Alex (daughter #2), who joined us on Day 1, our seedlings didn't survive the winter.
***
I should probably clarify that: they didn't survive Grace, the forgetful one, who I've put in charge of watering the plants every week. Oy vey.
Let's Talk Teacher's Pet
One of my favorites in the bundle is also one of my favorites in life:
Whodathunk a bundle on gardening and sustainability would have anything to do with one of my favorite foods: sourdough bread. But it does, and I can't wait to dive into that. I wish you could see the big grin on my face as I think about it and how I'll enjoy that first bite ... doesn't it just look scrumptious?
Another favorite is the cheat sheets, because you don't have to go into bundle overload. You have a single sheet, for each portion of the bundle, that provides details of that specific offer, so you can choose what you want, when you want, and leave the rest for another time. Easy Peasy.
Cheat sheets are like having someone holding onto the back of your bike when you think you're going to fall: you're not alone, they're there to guide, not ride it for you, and you can always look back and find them there. That's what a bundle is all about. Gathering resources to guide your way, breadcrumbs to show you the way, and I'm sure there's a gingerbread house up ahead.
Pardon me, it's supper time.
Your Happiness is Guaranteed
